Story #1: Post-Christmas Disaster

I'm sure all of you heard about the horrible weather that happened around the country around after Christmas time, but mainly in Dallas and Chicago.

During the tornadoes that happened in Dallas, I was at my aunts house in the suburbs. I didn't even know about the tornadoes because I was having such a good time with my family. I was totally unaware of the horrid weather.

Two days after Christmas, I had to fly back to O'Hare to go home to Chicago.

Me and my dad get to the airport and we are going to security, and I forgot to take my belt off during the security scan. So I had to get patted down. I was mad uncomfortable lol.

We finally get to our gate and they say that the flight to Chicago is delayed. I guess I didn't really mind because I thought that it was only going to be like a five minute thing.

We ended up being delayed about an hour and a half.

Our plane is finally ready and we board. Overall it was a nice flight, until I hear a flight attendant say that we're going to land in Michigan because O'Hare isn't letting any planes in.

My reaction: Michigan?!!!!????????!!

At this point I was highly upset and just ready to go home. We landed in Michigan and waited for about two hours there.

Finally, my dad just said that we were going to get a rental car and drive back to Chicago.

The weather was so bad. It was hailing, raining, and there was snow on the ground.

Every five miles you could see that someone had slipped off the road.

We finally get back to O'Hare to get y dads car, and we have to wait like half a mile in slush. My socks got so wet.

You can imagine how relieved I was when I got home.

That day was just so insane and I hope it never happens again lol.

Thought #1: New Years Resolution Ideas

It's December 29, 2015 and I'm listening to old R&B music.

I've been thinking about my New Years Resolutions. I've got a bunch of them but I just can't think of all of them right now.

I believe that New Years gives you an actual pass to say "This is going to be a fresh start for me," even though you know you're not going to change at all. But I need to change. My lifestyle is all messed up right now.

I'm lazy, I'm out of shape, my grades aren't the best, I haven't been keeping up with my meditation, I haven't been eating right, and there are many others that I could name but I won't hah.

In this New Year, I must change that.

Here are some resolutions:

1. Become a vegetarian again (this is definitely happening!)
2. Get my camera fixed, and get a new Polaroid camera.
3. Keep up with this blog!
4. Keep my grades up (B+ and higher)
5. Step out my comfort zone, become a better talker, make new friends that like the same stuff as I do.
6. Get a bass and learn how to play it.
7. Get my aura read monthly, if not weekly.
8. Exercise weekly!
9. Read more.
10. Practice Yoga daily.
11. Practice meditation daily.
12. Improve my French fluency.
13. Write meaningful poetry and music.
14. Make lots more works of art.
15. Keep up with YouTube

Etc, etc.

If you have not already, I highly suggest writing a New Years Resolution list. As cliche as it may be, it helps if you actually stick to it!

Write one and hang it on your refrigerator or your wall and read it everyday and remind yourself that you have to stick to it to improve yourself.

Much love!
